INTERVIEW BODY LANGUAGE: DO THEY HATE ME?

Want to know what the person on the other side of the table thinks about your presentation? Try listening with your eyes. "Body language is powerful but often subconscious," says Colgate University psychologist Caroline Keating. "That's precisely what makes it powerful." Keating and other researchers have established correlations between common nonverbal gestures and the kinds of emotions one is likely to encounter in a business setting. But beware: Keating has also found that successful business leaders are often good at masking their true feelings. Even in body language, you can't believe everything you read.
